Job description:
Ø Design and develop advanced Rich Internet Applications (RIA-based) for the financial domain
Ø Use advanced Javascript, JQuery, HTML, and CSS features in customer-facing applications delivered through an Internet browser
Ø Design user interfaces that are capable of supporting real-time streaming as well as high degree of user customizability and configurability
Ø Design user interfaces that exhibit a high degree of usability and user-friendliness
Ø Design and develop user interfaces that support multiple languages and currencies
Ø Take initiative for the overall development of the engineering team in advanced uses of Javascript and HMTL (by conducting on-the-job training, mentoring programs, etc.)
Ø Bring in maturity and understanding of system maintainability and extensibility
Ø Perceive and communicate 'unstated' customer requirements as well as non-functional requirements
Specific Requirements:
Ø In-depth understanding and working experience in HTML (HTML5 preferred but not required), CSS (all versions), JQuery, Dojo, and related frameworks and libraries
Ø Hands-on experience developing applications with advanced Javascript and Ajax
Ø Familiarity with one of the standard programming languages (Java or C#, etc.)
Ø Familiarity with RIA technologies such as Adobe Flex and Microsoft Silverlight
Ø Familiarity with web streaming technologies and platforms (Websocket, etc.)
Ø Have hands-on experience working with customers in understanding UX requirements and translating them into customer-facing applications
Ø Experience developing front-end applications using thin client (RIAs delivered through Internet browsers) as well as thick client approaches
Ø Expertise in data visualization techniques
Ø Expertise in internationalization and localization techniques
Ø Part of a front-end, presentation-tier team, developing large distributed systems with multiple integration points and third party interfaces preferred but not necessary
Ø Candidates with financial domain experience (Wealth Management or Retail Trading) are preferred
Ø Maturity to work across difference levels from senior executives to junior team members as well as with third parties and external vendors
Ø Experience with working with offshore and geographically distributed teams will be preferred
Ø Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface with customers at the highest levels of the Business and Technology teams
Ø Must have a strong sense of professionalism and a collaborative working style
Ø Travel – 40% of the time- domestic & international (India)
