Client currently houses, supports, and maintains approximately 150 virtual and physical Windows servers in the Tallahassee Headquarters data center.
Windows System Administrators are responsible for systems management and administration including configuration management, business continuity/recovery, performance tuning, maintenance of Windows server-class computers and provide network services, hardware, software, programming, technical support, systems analysis, web design, host/server support, end user computing and field system support for client's systems and databases and are also responsible for providing company wide support via the client's Customer Support Center and maintains the technical infrastructure supporting all client systems and networks
Responsibilities:
· Administration and support of an Exchange 2008 Email system including archive and Anti-virus solutions
· Administration and Support for Microsoft SharePoint and Unified Access Gateway (UAG) systems.
· Support of Spam appliances, Archive solution, and Anti-virus system
· Active Directory Core Services Expertise including Administration, Design, Operations, and systems support in a statewide forest
· Planning, Deployment, and Management of Windows Server Group Policies
· Application Integrations involving research and analysis for COTS software and Custom applications
· Installing, configuring and managing Windows 2003 and 2008 servers
· Managing Security and Server support systems including ISA, Ironport, Shavlik, and Trend Micro systems
· Project planning related to maintenance and lifecycle management of Windows server systems
· Administration and Support for multiple statewide applications
· Network Services support for Microsoft DNS, DHCP, and WINS
· Providing support and diagnostic troubleshooting of IIS web-based applications, SQL databases, and legacy software in a distributed computer systems environment
· Support of Server Hardware and peripherals.
Required Skills:
· Knowledge of Microsoft Server Operating Systems
· Knowledge of Systems Administration techniques and practices in an Active Directory Server Environment
· Knowledge of network operating systems and protocols
· Knowledge of Server Hardware including support and diagnostic packages
· Understanding of Raid, SAN, and storage solutions
· Ability to operate, troubleshoot and support SMTP systems
· Ability to design and plan infrastructure solutions
· Ability to prepare program specifications
· Ability to interpret technical information relating to Server programs and Server hardware; ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments
· Ability to communicate technical information clearly
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
