Requirements · MS in Mechanical/Aerospace/Civil Engineering. BS in Mechanical/Aerospace/Civil Engineering with 5 years related industry experience. · Must be familiar with ASME, AISC and standard design building codes like IBC and ASCE 7. · Practical knowledge and experience of gas turbine packaging systems, structural analysis of steel structures. · Background in mechanical design, vibration theory, dynamics, and finite element methods with working knowledge/experience of FEA. · Minimum of 5 years NASTRAN/PATRAN, STAAD, TRIFLEX, and ANSYS programs. · Ability to interact with employees/managers at all levels of the organization Functions · Perform analysis using STAAD, NASTRAN/PATRAN and ANSYS. · Perform linear and non-linear contact analysis, Low cycle fatigue and high cycle fatigue on gas turbine components. · Thermal analysis experience is highly desired for high temperature application parts. · Perform static and dynamic analysis of gas turbine based packages for compliance to building codes like IBC. · Perform static and dynamic models of structures for gas turbine packaging. · Perform tensional and lateral analysis. · Perform analyses utilizing appropriate classical and computer aided techniques, develop concise final reports and present the results. · Analysis and design of gas turbine packaging, structural steel frames and supports. · Pipe stress analysis and pipe support design. · Hand calculations and design calculations. · Design functionality, safety and integrity and compliance with appropriate Codes and client Design Practices. · Support of design reviews and the Tollgate process. | ||||
