Job Description

·         Knowledge  of  customs  regulations  in  the shipping industry (US, CAN,ASIA, EU regulations)

·         Strong knowledge and prior experience in the shipping industry

·         Strong analytical, problem solving skills and attention to detail

·         Excellent   communication   skills   including  ability  to  effectively communicate with both technology, business and management staff

·         Extensive experience/exposure in all the phases of a structured Software development lifecycle

·         Business Analysis skills including requirements gathering (communicating with  business  to  understand),  analysis  and  documentation of the requirements.

·         Experience   in   the  creation  of  Business  Requirements,  Functional Specifications, User Guides, Testing Strategy;

·         Experience  in  structured  functional  testing including review of test scenarios,  test  cases  and  execution/support  of  User  Acceptance Testing

·         24/7  on-call  support  of  business  users  in a high-pressure business environment for production support capacity, day-to-day operations

·         Daily review of new incidents from business users which require same day resolution

·         Documentation of issues and deadlines for these fixes

·         Coordination  with development team and Quality Assurance team to ensure the fix is developed and tested to meet the deadlines provided

·         Follow  up  with  the  business  users  to  advise  once fixes have been deployed,  as well as follow up to ensure business users verify fixes and close open issues/calls.

·         Coordination of User Acceptance Testing for scheduled releases

·         Knowledge of Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office

 

Preferred

·         Prior   leadership  experience  in  delivering  new  systems  and  major enhancements

·         Experience with the off-shore model

·         Proactive,   energetic   and   willingness  to  work  in  stressful  and time-sensitive environment

·         Prior experience with the development of business process

·         Understand  fundamental  project  management  best practices (e.g. Scopemanagement,  Risk  Management,  Planning,  Tracking  and Controlling,etc.
