Desired: Microsoft SQL Server certification.
Required: 2 years work experience with SQL Server DB design and maintenance. Good knowledge of normalization and modeling complex relationships in SQL. Experience with systems with 250+ tables a plus.
Skills Profile
Database Design:
Required: Database design experience including ER diagramming with TOAD or ERWin. Required: Working knowledge of normalization. Required: Working knowledge of SQL specific data types such as UNIQUEIDENTIFIER, ROWVERSION and HIERARCHYID.
Required: Ability to reverse engineer non-SQL legacy databases (such as Paradox). Desired: Working knowledge of Visual Studio Team System Database projects for version control and deployment.
Software Programming: Required: Basic knowledge of .NET programming using C#. Desired: Working knowledge of .NET System.Data programming models. Desired: Working knowledge of SQL Server Management Objects (SMO). Desired: Working knowledge of Entity Framework or LINQ to SQL.
Database Programming: Required: Use of stored procedures, common table expressions (CTEs) and functions. Required: Working knowledge of T-SQL scripting.
Database Administration: Required: Working knowledge of SQL Server 2008. Required: Working knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio.
Soft Skills: Required: Proficient in spoken and written English | |||
