· Develop test cases using HP Quality Center for Mobile Device Testing, hardware and software testing. · Trace test cases back to requirements · Develop test cases for screen flow, functions, error messages · Develop test cases for screen resolutions and multiple operating systems compatibility · Report defects, issues and risks · Provide weekly status reports · Evaluate testability of requirements and reports to project team member's changes or additional information needed in requirements. · Participate in architecture and technical specification review and provides feedback on content and testability. · Contribute to and ensure adherence to requirements traceability matrix ensuring quality delivery. · Identify, document, and follow through to resolution of the software defects identified during all QA phases. · Create standard operating procedures and metrics based on best practices for the QA team. · Coordinate with the Subject Matter Experts and End-Users for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution: · Define User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test cases and test scenarios. · Develop test data to ensure user requirements are met with the package solution. · Perform User Acceptance Testing. · Develop and conduct training (where needed) The candidate must have: · 3+ years experience in mobile application testing (any platform: iOS, iPhone/iPad, Android, etc.) · 5-8 years experience using test management processes and technical skills, and in-depth knowledge of automated test execution and performance related tools with strong planning and process improvement skills. · 5-8 years experience developing test case automation criteria, and evaluating the environment, conditions and criteria under which test case automation should occur. · 5-8 years experience with unit test development. · 5-8 years experience developing and conducting test processes for multiple types of systems, client users and/or units across an organization · 5-8 years experience identifying technical and operational problems on installed networks, systems and products. · 5-8 years experience working with the Business and Systems Analysts to interpret QA needs as requirements are being developed. · 5-8 years experience successfully interacting with users, technical and business representatives, and vendors. · 5-8 years experience analyzing and reviewing test results with key team members and stakeholders and makes recommendations regarding software defects. · 5-8 years experience and expert knowledge of QA automation processes, methodologies, and frameworks. · 5-8 years experience in the design and creation of automation test scripts. · 5-8 years experience assessing and recommending manual and automated testing methods and procedures. · 5-8 years experience developing and employing automated testing methods, and ensuring that the appropriate test environments exist. · 5-8 years experience researching, testing, and selecting testing tools. · 5-8 years experience manual and automated testing with tools such as HP QTP, LoadRunner, Test Director/Quality Center, or equivalent. · 5-8 years technical experience with full life cycle software development, and a thorough knowledge of stages from requirements to release and maintenance stages. · Technologies Candidate Will Use · Apple iPhone · Android phone · HP Quality Center 10.0 · MS SharePoint 2007 · Microsoft Office – Excel, Access, Visio and Power Point (i.e., Power User) · Technologies Candidate Should Understand or Be Aware of (Considered Plus) · Amtrak's VRU or Julie system (1-800-USA-RAIL) · Amtrak.com · Amtrak's ARROW Reservation System · Amtrak Pricing Policies · Amtrak's RailRes and/or STARS systems · Familiarity with automated mobile testing tools such as Monkey Talk. · Familiarity with Mobile Cloud testing tools. · Java experience is a plus · Familiarity with HP Quick Test Pro (QTP) is a huge plus · Must have prior experience (Minimum 3 years) testing mobile handset applications focusing on usability and functionality regarding both simulator and installed applications · Excellent writing & verbal skills. · Ability to communicate effectively and build effective working relationships with both technical and user managerial contacts. · Strong documentation and testing skills · Excellent management and organizational skills · Ability to monitor projects and resolve business issues · Experience in giving direction to technical personnel, demonstrated ability to lead/manage/train team members. · Well organized with consistent attention to detail and quality · Team player with excellent interpersonal skills · Bachelors degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. · 5-8 years experience with HP Quality Center. | |||
