Aircraft Dynamics engineer – Contract – Wichita(KS)
Duration: 8 - 10 months
US National / GC holder a must
Job description
· Ability to estimate static loads, dynamic loads, and/or flutter analysis on small aircraft projects.
· Knowledge on aerospace engineering principles and concepts for aircraft aero elastic analysis
· Ability to perform aircraft static aero-elastic loads analysis supported by CFD, wind tunnel pressure model and flight testing
· Ability to prepare aerodynamic data bases for use in external loads and dynamics.
· Ability to perform aircraft external dynamic loads analysis considering the random nature of atmospheric turbulence in determining structural responses and load distributions
· Ability to Evaluate the aircraft dynamic loads due to landing and taxi maneuvers
· Knowledge to provide the solution of aircraft flutter and vibration problems utilizing analysis and testing in order to provide input to improve preliminary aircraft design and to verify margins of safety with respect to flutter are adequate.
Skill set:
- Experience on flight dynamics
- Good understanding of MIL qualification, testing & certification requirements
- Expert in interpreting and creating engineering drawings
- Good interpersonal skills
