Enterprise Architect / Principal technologist – Boston, MA –Full Time- Market Rate
Position: Principal Technologist, Financial Services
Location: Boston
Key Components of the Position:
- Provide strategic technical leadership within Virtusa and on customer engagements
- Provide strong thought leadership and advise our customers based on proven expertise delivering solutions in areas of enterprise architecture, application consolidation and migration, system integration, open source technologies, and financial industry best practices, tools, methodologies and solutions.
- Work closely with business and technical leadership at the customer organization, and effectively communicate with SVP and CxO levels. Excellent relationship skills in the form of management and consultation are also critical to the success of this position.
- Conduct technology workshops and focused discussions within large customer settings.
- Serve as the technology delivery lead for one or more customer engagements. Provide clear direction to a global Virtusa customer engagement team and mentor senior team members on the project. Work closely with the Director of Delivery or Project Manager to ensure that the project meets time, budget, customer satisfaction and internal team satisfaction goals.
· Influence within a matrix organization while tracking project milestones and project status. Be proactive in identifying project and team issues. Work closely with the Virtusa global leadership team to address these issues in a creative fashion.
- Actively contribute to internal knowledge management initiatives by delivering technical talks, publishing white papers, and representing Virtusa in industry workshops.
- Support the Virtusa business development team to expand scope of existing accounts and pursue new client opportunities. Provide technical insight and innovative solution delivery Lead global pursuit teams to prepare project proposals, and responses to RFIs/RFPs.
- Evangelize and promote the mission statement, value proposition and offerings of Virtusa.
Key Requirements:
- 12 or more years of relevant industry experience with at least 5 years in one or more of the following areas – Financial Services, Wealth Management, or Capital Markets.
- Strong experience leading technology architecture, strategy and solution delivery engagements across a breadth of technologies, including:
- Application Architecture, Application Replatforming, Web/HTML5 technologies, Emerging technologies (Mobile, Social, Cloud, BigData), Customer Experience Management, CRM, and Information Management
- Strong experience in the Consulting Services industry including consultative selling, relationship building, solution design, and leading large project teams that deliver innovative client solutions
- Out-of-the-box problem solving abilities and excellent communication, customer and team interaction skills
- Ability to independently lead and influence technology and business stakeholders at an executive level within the client organization, while also being able to engage credibly in technical discussions with architecture and engineering teams.
- Proven experience leading offshore project teams in a consulting organization would be a big plus.
- Demonstrated ability to learn, innovate and adapt with evolving needs of our client's needs and technology trends
- Bachelors required, Masters preferred
