Network SW QA/Test Engineer – Vienna(VA) – 6 Months+
Job description / Key qualifying skills:
· Good knowledge of Router/Switch architecture
· Solid understanding of IP and TCP/UDP/ICMP protocols (including header contents and protocol flow concepts).
· Good knowledge of L2 and L3 protocols
· Demonstrable experience in QoS (L2 and L3) testing
· Experience in testing features using CLI, NetConf and SNMP (knowledge on other standard interfaces preferred)
· Experience in using Traffic Generating tools like Agilent, IXIA
· Experience in using packet sniffing tools like Ethereal and Wireshark
· In-depth understanding of Automation infrastructure and scripting skills
· Rich knowledge of QA testing methodologies and experience in performing various testing activities like Sanity, Functional, System, Regression, Acceptance, Stress, Performance and Scalability
· Requirement analysis, creating testing plans and deriving test cases
