Design, construct, implement and support data warehouse and data mart databases in SQL Server 2008 R2 and Oracle 10g/11g. This person must have extensive data modeling experience and at least 2 years of experience using Dimensional Modeling techniques. Experience with Microsoft Analysis Services and MDX programming is preferred. Responsibilities will include:
- Developing data models using PowerDesigner
- Performing Database Administration for SQL Server 2008 R2 databases
- Performance tuning TSQL and SQL Server databases
- Performing Database Administration for Oracle 10g/11g databases
- Performance tuning Oracle databases
- Communicating in a timely manner all issues, risks, concerns and status to management
This person must have experience working with large data warehouse databases and must be comfortable working on projects that involve multiple departments.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written are required.
The candidate must have critical thinking skills and demonstrate the ability to perform root cause analysis.
He/she must have a proven track record of taking the initiative and following through.
