Primary responsibilities include:
• Works with Project Management and Senior Architects on application design and development.
• Develops applications, components and services using C#, VB .NET, ASP.NET to meet the business needs.
• Uses expertise to fine tune and ensure that applications and services are using best practices ensuring optimal performance and maintainability.
• Works closely with Project Management, QA and development teams to drive projects through to completion
• Participates in code review process for peers
• Adheres to quality development standards
• Evaluates business requirements and processes to provide accurate estimates for development efforts.
Required background and qualifications include:
• Understands the principles of Object Orientation Programming and design.
• Understanding of Relational Databases and SQL - Oracle a plus.
• Experienced developing web-based applications using C#, ASP.NET, VBScript/ASP, JavaScript and HTML
• Experience with WCF, LINQ, Entity Framework is desired.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for full software development life cycle
• Ability to perform the job functions with minimal instructions and pre-established guidelines
• Strong understanding of development lifecycle, SDLC processes and guidelines.
• Experience with Oracle Connection Pooling, SQL Tuning, Oracle Explain Plan, Oracle tracing
Job Qualifications
• BS/BA degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred or relevant work experience in the development field.
• Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience working with a combination of C#, ASP.NET, IIS 6 & 7
• Must be able to work independently and efficiently within a diverse and fast paced, team-oriented environment
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Broad Knowledge and experience related to computer systems and technologies.
· Knowledge of the following would be a plus: MVC, WCF, WPF, Hibernate, J2EE
