· Responsible for the strategy, design and implementation of all application related components in a dual data center environment. · This includes all Java, .Net, OAS, JBoss, Webshpere, etc. platforms. · Subject Matter Expert on application related topics including development, deployment, replication, high availability, clustering, disaster recovery etc. · Will be expected to bring the team new ideas and better, more efficient methods of doing business. · Implementing scalable application designs for high availability and disaster recovery · Responsible for the research, planning and development of all technical design documentation as well as providing oversight and coordination for all application related implementations and research projects. · This position is for an architect not a developer. · Client works a 37.5 hour work week and very rarely any overtime. · Job is located downtown so there will be parking expenses. · Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
Required Skills:
· 5 years of experience in application development, design and architecture including Java, HTML, DHTML, XML, XSL, CSS, etc. · 5 years of application experience in enterprise class environments utilizing N-Tier deployments and VMWare · 5 years of hands-on experience writing code with deep knowledge of enterprise application architecture and concepts · 5 years of experience implementing scalable application designs for high availability and disaster recovery · 5 years of experience with advanced technologies like application clustering and load balancing between multiple facilities · Strong JBoss experience · 3 years of experience in application administration and deployment including version control. · Experience creating detailed systems architecture and build book documentation for new applications. · Application administration and deployment including version control. · Must have extensive middleware experience. · JBoss Certification is a HUGE plus · Other Java or .Net certifications will be a major plus · Must have an application development background.
